The Ultimate Collection (Dusty Springfield)
I had all but forgotten about Dusty Springfield until I saw this in the collection. If you’re in the mood for classic rock hits from the ‘60s, especially if you like Burt Bacharach songs, you’ll enjoy this one.
Honk! (George Stiles)
This first American cast recording of the musical comedy based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling” entertains every member of the family while promoting themes of self-acceptance and the value of diversity. Especially fun were the songs “You Can Play With Your Food” and “Warts and All.”
Time to Say Goodbye (Sarah Brightman)
When your spirit needs a lift, relax to the ethereal voice of Sarah Brightman singing favorite love songs from popular music and opera. She is superbly supported by singers Andrea Bocelli and Jose Cura and by the London Symphony Orchestra.
- Liza C.
I’m very partial to piano music and I have found several excellent CD’s by Hagood Hardy:
Alone – Favorite Piano Selections
All My Best – Includes some movie themes
My Song – Very relaxing and easy listening
- Cheryl D.
Il Divo (Il Divo)
Right now I’m listening to a delightful new CD suggested by a patron entitled. IL DIVO—four young tenors from USA, France, Spain & Switzerland. Music in Spanish, English and Italian.
In These Times (Peter, Paul, and Mary)
Peter, Paul and Mary’s newest CD is as good as ever. They haven’t lost their appeal for those of us who enjoyed them back in the 60’s and 70’s.
Three Mo’ Tenors (Various Artists)
Another staff recommended I listen to this live performance. I’m requesting We order the DVD from PBS. Three incredibly talented tenors who sing music selections spanning 400 years all in one evening. They journey through the worlds of Opera, Broadway, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Spiritual and Gospel.

Forrest Gump Soundtrack (Various Artists)
I really love the soundtrack CD from this movie. Lots of music from the 60’s. I listen to it while I walk. Good beat and keeps me moving and a grooving.
- Jeanne L.
Out There Live (Dar Williams)
Solitude Standing (Suzanne Vega)
American Idiot (Green Day)
A Mighty Wind Soundtrack (Various Artists)
Rumors (Fleetwood Mac)
Rhiannon L.
The Rosemary Clooney Songbook (Bette Midler)
It’s a light hearted & fun CD with outstanding vocals by Bette.
- Mary M.
Pure Jazz & Pure Jazz Encore (Various Artists)
These collection albums are a crash course on the jazz classics and a great jumping off point for those just getting into the genre.
Chicago (Various Artists)
I usually don't like musicals, but there's so much energy and 'razzle dazzle' to these songs that it has me listening to it almost everyday.
