FREE COMPUTER CLASSES

The following classes are free and available to all interested adults, age 16 and older. All classes are held in the Program Room at Cook Memorial Library in Libertyville. Please register at the Reception Desk or use our event calendar to register now.

These computer classes are offered each season. Please see our event calendar for currently scheduled classes. If the class you want doesn't appear, it will be offered again in a few months!

Mouse101: Basic Mouse Skills  

Using a mouse is an essential computer skill. Learn to hold a mouse, single click, double click, drag and drop and more in this self-paced hands-on class. No prior experience is necessary. 

The NEW Online Catalog

An introduction to the library's new online catalog. Learn all the great features in our new catalog, such as limiting your search to items on the shelf at the library, viewing your position in a hold queue, and rating and reviewing items in the library's collection. You'll learn everything you need to know to use the library’s new Online Catalog to find books, videos, music and more – either in the library or from home.

This is a hands-on class. Attendees must feel very comfortable using a mouse or have taken Mouse101: Basic
Mouse Skills.

Internet Basics

Interested in learning about the Internet? Learn how to use Internet Explorer to view web pages and perform simple searches in this basic class. Attendees must have taken Mouse101: Basic Mouse Skills or feel very comfortable using a mouse.
