Eileen M. Sullivan Award The Eileen M. Sullivan Award is given each year to a person within the Cook Memorial Public Library District that publicly promotes literacy and library use to the community. The award is in honor of Eileen Sullivan, the Children’s Services Manager at the Cook Memorial Public Library District. Eileen has made it her mission to promote partnerships between schools and the library for twenty-seven years and this award symbolizes her commitment to this mission. The Eileen M. Sullivan Award will be an annual award presented to members of the community dedicated to promoting literacy and library use to the greater community. 2007 Recipient Erik Youngman, principal of Copeland Manor School, was honored with the first Eileen M. Sullivan Award. “Thanks to Erik’s encouragement, every student at Copeland Manor School started the school year with a library card,” said Library Director Dan Armstrong.
