Our thanks to everyone who participated in our recent library survey. The information gathered will help the Library Board and staff plan for the future.

The comments submitted revealed that people have questions about some aspects of our facilities, web site, catalog and collections. The purpose of this blog is to answer one or more of those questions in each post. Have additional questions? Ask us and we'll answer!

Several comments in the survey mentioned frustration with the large yellow posts in front of the Book/AV return at Cook Park. Here's an update from Library Directory Stephen Kershner:

"The Cook Park Library has recently made changes to the drive up Book/AV Return to provide easier access when returning materials to the library. Smaller posts have been installed closer to the curb permitting drivers to reach the return chutes more easily. Pulling in the driver’s side outside rearview mirror permits an even closer approach. When weather permits, an asphalt pad will be installed at the return to raise the road level, permitting returnees in smaller cars to reach the chutes more easily. Your patience, cooperation and understanding during this construction period is much appreciated."
