Lower Level Changes at Cook Park

Print

Cook Park’s Lower Level Collections Area is about to undergo a make-over, thanks to the generosity of the Margaret Earnshaw Estate. New white shelving units, arranged in a more inviting way, will be installed December 12 – 14. Items will be removed from the old shelves on Tuesday, December 11th. They will be stored in the Meeting Room and Lower Level hallway temporarily, and placed on the new shelves as soon after December 14 as possible. We hope the new and improved Lower Level Collections Area will be open by December 20th.

If you are interested in checking out an item that is in temporary storage during the make-over process, check with the Adult Reference Desk to see if it is available. We may be able to retrieve some items, but there will be a few days when most or all Lower Level items are inaccessible. That includes our microfilm, genealogy, local history and foreign language collections among others.

The Adult Reference Desk librarians will be happy to check availability at our Aspen location or request an item from one of our LINKin partner libraries if necessary.
