Whether at our Cook Park Library in Libertyville, or Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills, our Bookmobile, or online, the Cook Library team strives to provide outstanding service through innovation and creativity. We serve our community with enthusiasm and a sense of fun, and honor our responsibility of being good stewards of public funds.

Strategic Plan: The Library’s Roadmap 2016-18
In 2014, we asked you how we’re doing, how we can do better, and what’s important.
Your feedback was supplemented by census data, interviews, and teen focus groups to develop a three-year strategic plan that covers July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2018 (the library’s 2016–18 fiscal years).
The plan focuses on 4 key service initiatives:
- Popular Collections
- Lifelong Learning
- Facilities and Spaces
Our goal is to ensure that we allocate financial and human resources to provide services and collections that meet or exceed the needs, wants, and expectations of the community.
