Part-Time Adult Services Librarian

Cook Park Library

Cook Memorial Public Library District is seeking a friendly, customer-focused reference librarian to work in the Adult Services Department.  The librarian position is an integral part of the library service team with primary responsibility for providing reference services to patrons.

Requirements: 

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school
• Public library reference experience preferred
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Familiar with both print and online reference resources
• Comfortable with technology 

Hours:          Part-time – 22 hours/week on average

                     Weekend hours

                     One night per week

Responsibilities:

• Assists patrons with reference and information questions at the public desks
• Assists with materials selection
• Duties as assigned

Salary:         $20.14 per hour
