Cooking with Paige

Greetings to one and all, Cookers!
Ready for some cooking fun? Especially with all those apples you have picked at the orchard in the past couple of weeks?
I was hanging out at the Children's Reference desk at the TLC and I saw this

awesome book sitting there: The Penny Whistle HALLOWEEN Book by Meredith Brokaw and Annie Gilbar. It CAN'T BE CHECKED OUT RIGHT NOW, but it can be used by anyone who asks as long as it stays in the library. The friendly librarian loaned it to me and I flipped though the pages until I got to page 72 and started to drool...I've just got to make these sauces for my apples, bananas, pears and strawberries. And, you can, too because I'm sharing the recipes!
Chocolate Sauce
1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/4 c sugar
1 t. vanilla
Melt chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering water.
Stir until smooth.
Add sugar and vanilla, and mix well.
Keep warm until ready to serve.
Peanut Butter Sauce
1 12 oz package peanut butter chips
2 T. butter
In the top of a double boiler over simmering water,
combine peanut butter chips and butter.
Let melt and mix well.
Keep warm until ready to serve.
Each recipe makes 1/2 to 3/4 cup of each sauce.
Gotta go buy the sweet chips now, so BUY BYE!
Paige Turner!
P.S. Drop me a comment if you make the recipe to tell me how it
went for you!
