Talented Bookmark Designers

Dear Blog Readers,
Oh, how exciting it was to see all 815 bookmarks turned in for our recent Design a Bookmark 2010 contest! Every single one was special - we wish each one could have been a winner. Look here to see every single entry.
Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention winners are in order. They have received a phone call and written invitation in the mail for a special reception and art workshop this coming Saturday on December 4. Over 60 talented kids were chosen for this workshop!
With the holidays approaching, why not design a bookmark (or many) to give as a gift(s)? All you need: some cardstock or cardboard paper, crayons/markers/paints and your creativity. Cut the paper into a size you think would work as a bookmark, then draw or paint on it. You might even wish to punch a hole in the top of the paper and thread yarn or ribbon though the hole to "fancy" the bookmark up a bit.
Happy Bookmarking,
Paige Turner!
