Dear Readers,
Would you like to join in with people all over the world
in reading out loud together? You have come to the right
place to get the details: right here on Paige's blog
page!
People in New York City will gather at Time's
Square for 24 hours to read aloud, and you can
gather your family or classroom kids to participate,
no matter where you are right now. Just think,
this is happening all over the world and you can be
a part of it!!!
Tell your parents, tell your teacher(s) and READ
OUT LOUD on March 9, 2011. Check out the
paragraph below to learn a little more about
the day:
"World Read Aloud Day celebrates
the power of words, especially those
words that are shared from one person
to another. The goal is to create
a community of readers advocating
for every child’s right to a safe
education and access to books and
technology. A highlight of Lit World's
World Read Aloud Day is a
24-hour read-aloud marathon
in Times Square."
Now I must go to look for some books myself to read aloud
and find a friend to read with and to...can't wait!!
Globally Yours,
Paige Turner!
