Ahhh. August.

Print

Dear Readers,

Can you believe it?  It's now August and soon time to go

back to school.  But, not just yet!  I looked at the 2011

CHASE'S CALENDAR OF EVENTS and found some special

things you can do to celebrate the month of August on your

own.  For example:

August is AMERICAN ADVENTURES MONTH.  Tourists

can explore Central, South and North America...just by opening

up a book where those countries are featured.  Have a nice trip!

August is CHILDREN'S EYE HEALTH AND SAFETY month.

Try winking, blinking, crying (happy tears, of course) and

wearing sunglasses to show your peekers some TLC.

August is GETTING READY FOR KINDERGARTEN month.

August is HAPPINESS HAPPENS month.  Encourage people

around you to express happpiness instead of grumpiness with

your example as a happy camper!

Consider hosting a HAPPYTHON where jokes, funny

movies and books are shared with each other.

August is NATIONAL INVENTOR'S month.  In honor of

those who have invented something unique, invent your very

own gadget or gizmo.

Celebrating the eighth month on the calendar,
