Hello Storytime Friends,
We have been having so much fun sharing stories with you these past few weeks!
At Miss Sue and Miss Heather’s storytimes, held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Tuesday and Wednesday night, they shared stories about Mommies and Daddies!
The Mommy Book by Todd Parr; My Mother is Mine by Marion Dane Bauer; Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman; Mama, Do You Love Me? By Barbara M. Joosse; The Daddy Book by Todd Parr; Mitchell’s License by Hallie Durand; and My Father Knows the Names of Things by Jane Yolen
At Mrs. Lindahl’s Wednesday storytime, stories about Polar Bears were shared: Polar Babies by Susan Ring, Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? by Bill Martin Jr., and Are You My Daddy? By Carla Dijs. There was also a sweet little rhyme to share:
“5 Little Polar Bears”
5 little polar bears playing near the shore.
1 tumbled in and then there were 4.
4 little polar bears swimming out to sea.
1 got lost then there were 3.
3 little polar bears said, “What shall we do?”
1climbed an iceberg then there were 2.
2 little polar bears playing in the sun.
1 went for food then there was 1.
1 little polar bear didn’t want to stay.
He said, “I’m lonesome,” and swam far away.
At Miss Molly’s Baby Storytime, families were delighted to listen to Jamberry by Bruce Degen, and at Miss Debbie’s Baby Storytime, children were thrilled with the prop story Chicken Soup By Heart by Esther Hershenhorn
We hope you join us next week for more fun and happy storytimes!
