Imagine flying a kite in the library! Toddlers used their imaginations this morning -- and some colorful scarves and songs and stories -- to fly kites and play in the wind. Books included One Windy Wednesday and Watching the Wind. We also did action rhymes, such as:
I’m a kite (put hands above head in point)
Way up high (stand on tiptoes)
Twisting, dipping (twist and dip)
In the sky.
In strong winds,
I twirl around. (spin in circle)
With no wind,
I tumble down. (sit down)
