Erica O’Rourke

I was raised on a steady diet of science fiction, fantasy, and mysteries. While my love for all things genre endures, these days my taste is more eclectic – I’ll read anything from middle-grade to adult fiction, so long as it has engaging characters, a strong sense of place, and a distinctive voice. I’m also a sucker for a series; once I’m hooked on a cast of characters and their world, I don’t want to leave. (I always, ALWAYS start with book one.)

When it comes to film and TV, I’m a fan of British programs, from Doctor Who to Agatha Christie adaptations, comedies like Parks and Rec or Community, and classic movies my entire family can watch together.

When I’m not at the library, you can usually find me reading, writing, knitting, cooking, or trying to convince my husband to adopt a puppy. My kids swear I’m a Ravenclaw, but I wish I was a Gryffindor.
