Local Genealogists Speak Podcast Series
In January, we launched a new genealogy podcast series called “Local Genealogists Speak.” This series is a monthly opportunity to hear from a local genealogist as they share their experiences with and knowledge about family history research. Each episode contains tips and suggestions which may be helpful for your own research and/or stories that may inspire you to dig more deeply into your roots. Be sure to subscribe to the Cook Memorial Public Library Podcast for these episodes and other informative content! You can find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
A Conversation with Linda
In the second episode of the “Local Genealogists Speak” podcast series, a local genealogist, shares about her genealogy journey, ancestral travel, organizing her research, and more. In the episode, Linda talks about visiting an ancestral homeland, and if you are also interested in ancestral travel, check out Visiting Your Ancestral Town: Walk in the Footsteps of Your Ancestors by Carolyn Schott. In addition, Linda shares about how she organizes her research and provides a few tips, but there are other ways as outlined in the Genealogist’s Guide to Getting Organized, too. These are just two books that connect to Linda’s episode, but there are many more in the genealogy collection. Stop by and explore the shelves soon!
Happy listening and reading!
