17th Annual Writing Contest

Calling All Young Writers! Sharpen those pencils because it’s time for Cook Library’s Annual Writing Contest! Submit your story, essay, or poem for a chance to win publication in Cook Library’s own literary magazine.

Contest Guidelines

• For students in grades 4-8 who live or attend school within the Cook Memorial Public Library District

• one entry per student

• one author per entry

• entries may not be longer than 3,000 words. No illustrations, please

• deadline for entry April 19, 2024, at 9 p.m.

• contest winners will be notified four weeks after the contest ends.
