Changes to Digital Magazines

Beginning November 1, we will be streamlining our digital magazine services. Our magazine subscriptions will continue to be available through both PressReader and Flipster while access via OverDrive/Libby will be ending. Several titles previously available in OverDrive will move to Flipster, although not all titles will be available for us to purchase.

Why We Are Making This Change

This change will provide the largest variety of digital magazines in the most cost effective way possible. Previously, our digital magazine collection available through RBDigital allowed us to pick and choose titles, however, RBDigital merged with OverDrive and adopted an all or nothing model, which was too expensive for us to to continue utilizing. We aim to be responsible stewards of the funds we use to provide our services, so we have made the decision to put our digital magazine money into Flipster and PressReader. This will let us choose individual titles that our patrons would most enjoy and provide access to newspapers in addition to magazines.
