Passport to the Parks

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a community-wide scavenger hunt. Explore new-to-you spots around Vernon Hills for a chance to win fun prizes.

How It Works:

1. Get your passport!
2. Visit 10 locations around Vernon Hills to find the painted celebration pallets and take a photo with them.
3. Scan the QR code on the pallet to learn a fun fact about America.
4. Once you’ve collected all 10 photos, send them to the Park District for your chance to win one of the grand prizes!

Between June 1-August 31, 2026, pick up your passport and map at one if the following locations:

• Vernon Hills Park District Sullivan Center
  635 N Aspen Dr, Vernon Hills
• Aspen Drive Library
  701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills
